Miles Electric Vehicles, an electric automotive company, announced the launch of its advanced design/AC motor technology for its 2008 line-up of low-speed cars and trucks.
Featuring a more powerful 3 phase induction AC motor, the new and dramatically improved ZX40S, along with the just released ZX40ST, can travel 50-60 miles on a single charge while delivering vastly superior power and hill climbing capability. Like all Miles vehicles, the 2008 ZX40S and ZX40ST use no gas and produce zero carbon emissions.
Jeff Boyd, CEO of Miles Electric Vehicles, said: "Understandably, the media focus has been on our highway-speed electric cars that are in development, but we don't think the world can wait another year or two to start cutting emissions and gas usage."
