AirTran Airways October Traffic Surges 34%

AirTran Airways, a subsidiary of AirTran Holdings, has reported that traffic for the month of October 2007 surged 34% compared to the same month last year on a 16.4% increase in capacity.
Load factor rose 10.5 points to 77.8%, and the number of enplaned passengers for the month increased 25.8% to two million.
For the first 10 months of 2007, traffic increased 25.8% on a 20.5% increase in capacity. Load factor rose 3.3 points to 76.7%, and the number of enplaned passengers increased 19.4% to 19.9 million.
Bob Fornaro, president and CEO of AirTran Airways, commented: "We're pleased with these record-breaking figures and proud of our hard-working crew members and the high-quality service they provide to our customers every day."
