South African Airways Appoints David G. Chorley As Director, Sales Development - Canada

South African Airways (SAA), South Africa's flagship airline and the continent's most awarded carrier, has announced the appointment of David G. Chorley as director, sales development for Canada, effective November 5, 2007. Chorley, who has more than 25 years experience in the airline and travel industry, will be based in Toronto and will report to Todd Neuman, vice president, sales - North America.

As director of sales development, Chorley will be responsible for the airline's Canadian business development and passenger sales that are generated through retail travel agency, corporate, tour operator and consolidator accounts.

"David is a seasoned sales professional whose skill in developing business strategies will facilitate South African Airways' quest to continue capturing both leisure and corporate sales and further grow our position in Canada," said Neuman.

Prior to joining SAA, Chorley served in sales management positions with Synergi Global Travel Management and BCD Travel in Canada, where he was responsible for business development of travel agency and corporate sales programs. He is a veteran of the airline industry, having held several sales positions with Canadian Airlines International. Chorley is a graduate of McMaster University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics.
