Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas) -- By the end of 2007, the total installed capacity of wind power in China will reach 5 gigawatts (gW), which means that the nation's goal of reaching 5 gW in installed wind-power capacity by 2010 can be accomplished three years ahead of schedule, said Li Junfeng, Secretary of the Chinese Renewable Energy Industries Association (CREIA) at the opening ceremony of Wind Power Shanghai 2007. The total installed capacity of wind power in China could reach 120 gW in 2020, provided that adequate policies are adopted, said Arthouros Zervos, President of the Global Wind Energy Council (GWEC).
