Flatmate ‘Held Down Meredith’

POLICE believe British student Meredith Kercher was held down by her American flatmate as she was sexually attacked and killed.

Italian cops are convinced Amanda Knox helped bar owner Patrick Lumumba Diya, 37, and possibly a second man as they tried to force the 21-year-old into group sex.

A leaked report from police in Perugia claimed: “The sexual encounter between Patrick and Meredith was of a violent nature and particularly intimidatory with Knox helping Diya.”

Insiders said Knox – who claimed she covered her ears to drown out screams coming from Londoner Meredith’s room – had repeatedly changed her story.

They said Knox, 20, boyfriend Raphaele Sollecito, 23, and Diya could be charged today.
