New Serum Adds Shine to Dry Hair

THE PRODUCT: Redken All Soft Gold Glimmer perfecting shine treatment

WHAT IT IS: A new serum containing avocado oil, olive oil, silk amino acid and something called “gold camelina” to add shine and softness to dry hair

AIMED AT: Anyone with dry or frizzy hair who wants it to appear healthier

COST: $15, at Trade Secret (Numerous salons and beauty supply stores sell Redken products.)

OUR RESULTS: The first time we tried it, we pumped out too much (about a nickel-size dollop), and our hair appeared greasy and weighed down. The next time, however, we used just a pea-size amount, and people complimented our lush, shiny locks, even at the end of the day.

FAB OR FLUB? Fab. But be sure to use only a tiny bit, or your hair will appear decidedly “flubbed.” Don’t use with a lot of other products, or you’ll get the same result.
