Tulsa’s Williams Completes Binding Open Season
A unit of Tulsa-based Williams has completed a binding open season for an expansion project to connect Williams’ Transco natural gas pipeline with the recently authorized Gulf LNG Clean Energy import terminal near Pascagoula, Miss.
Angola LNG Supply Services LLC has subscribed all 467,390 dekatherms per day of firm transportation capacity offered in the open season. The service will be made available through a new 15- mile pipeline and existing capacity on the Mobile Bay Lateral. The connecting pipeline is being jointly developed by Williams and Florida Gas Transmission.
“Combined with natural gas from east Texas, this project will create a robust supply point for the growing market on Transco in the Southeast,” said Phil Wright, president of Williams’ natural gas pipeline business.
Williams expects the project will be available in the second half of 2011.
