Trams Turn to Ale-Way for Charity
November 12, 2007
STAFF and volunteers from Wirral Transport Museum will be joined by locals from the Old Colonial pub in Birkenhead for Children In Need.
They will embark on the first 24-hour Tramathon for the annual BBC fundraiser.
Six of the museum’s prized trams will take people on a short journey in exchange for a donation to the charity.
The heritage trams will run every half-an-hour on the hour and half-hour from the Woodside ferry terminal to the Old Colonial on Taylor Street from noon on Friday until noon Saturday.
