ExpressJet Airlines Launches Nonstop Flights Today Connecting Three New Cities to Long Beach

Posted on: Tuesday, 13 November 2007, 06:00 CST

LONG BEACH, Calif., Nov. 13 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- ExpressJet Airlines takes off from Long Beach Airport to Fresno and Monterey, Calif., and Reno-Tahoe today, bringing its new brand of nonstop service to business and winter holiday travelers.

"We are pleased to celebrate the inauguration of ExpressJet's new service at our airport," said Christine F. Andersen, Long Beach Airport Director. "ExpressJet is connecting Long Beach with nonstop service to three new cities, and that added service and convenience will be especially welcome during the busy holiday travel season."

Jim Ream, ExpressJet President and CEO, will participate in the inauguration celebration with elected leaders, tourism and convention officials, and Long Beach Airport leaders.

Ream said he is pleased with the progress ExpressJet has made since introducing its network earlier this year, and that customers are commenting favorably on the new service.

"ExpressJet will continue to look for new ways we can bring customers a better experience when they fly," Ream said. "We are hearing from our customers that they appreciate being able to save time and enjoy a more comfortable ride in our quiet and fuel-efficient, young fleet of jets."

Tickets are available for purchase online at http://www.xjet.com/, by calling 888.958.XJET (9538), and through most travelers' preferred providers, including travel agents and online distributors.

ExpressJet Airlines aircraft are quiet, fuel efficient, and configured with no middle seat, assigning every passenger a seat on the aisle, window or both. ExpressJet Airlines branded service delivers an improved customer experience.

In addition to the valet carry-on bag service, complimentary name-brand snacks and full service meal options on longer flights, ExpressJet Airlines provides over 100 channels of XM Satellite(R) Radio coupled with complimentary headsets at each seat, "beer for a buck" and an exclusive wine selection provided by Chameleon Cellars.

ExpressJet Airlines also offers a simple reward-based frequent flier program, JetSets(sm), which rewards customers for how often they fly, not how far they go. JetSet members also can take advantage of special discounts and promotions courtesy of the airline's Preferred Partnership with Avis Rent A Car and Budget Rent A Car.

ExpressJet Airlines also serves Los Angeles/Ontario, Sacramento, San Diego, San Antonio, Austin, New Orleans, Albuquerque, Bakersfield, Birmingham, Boise, Colorado Springs, El Paso, Fresno, Jacksonville, Fla., Kansas City, Mo., Louisville, Monterey, Calif., Oklahoma City, Omaha, Raleigh/Durham, Reno-Tahoe, Santa Barbara, Spokane, Tucson and Tulsa.
