A MAN accused of stalking actress Uma Thurman claims she “made contact” with him from the cinema screen.

Jackson Jordan, 37, denies stalking the Pulp Fiction star for more than two years.

But he told New York police he moved to the city to be with her after “our eyes connected” while he watched one of her films.

He added: “Over the years, my attraction to her grew.

“We are meant to be together. She is a wonderful person.”

Jordan has been in jail since his arrest last month and a Manhattan judge has refused to lower his pounds 5000 bail.

The Californian was arrested outside Thurman’s home in Manhattan after he drove across America and started living in his car parked on her street.

He once tried to get into her trailer on a movie set in 2005 and showered her and her family with emails professing his love.

Prosecutor Chris Hill told the court: “He has a longstanding fixation with this celebrity.”

But defence lawyer George Vomvolakis said his client was being unfairly treated because Thurman was famous.

He added: “Mr Jordan should not be prosecuted to a higher degree because the victim is a public figure.”
