Imagine Communications, the leading innovator in next-generation digital video processing and edge multiplexing solutions today announced the appointments of two new senior engineering executives and a senior sales executive in preparation for the company’s initial product commercial launch later this year. Zeev Prokopets has been appointed to VP of R&D and GM, Israel; Yves Boudreau to Director, Systems Engineering; and Jeff Delazaro to Regional VP, Sales.

Imagine has developed a unique breakthrough technology that allows service providers to deliver the highest video quality at any given bit rate, offering dramatic bandwidth efficiencies with no video quality degradation. Imagine’s technology offers cable operators the best 3:1 HD (High Definition) and 15:1 SD (Standard Definition) expansion solution available, giving them 50 percent more streams on existing networks without sacrificing video quality. With the industry’s first end-to-end Video QoS, Imagine’s technology allows for the rapid deployment of the advanced digital video services that consumers are demanding more of each day, such as HDTV, VOD/HD-VOD, nPVR, Mobile, Ad Insertion and more.

Imagine’s President & CEO Jamie Howard stated, “As we turn this critical corner in our business from trial to deployment stage, it’s crucial that we continue to round out our already strong team. Zeev’s extensive experience as a seasoned R&D and operations executive is highly valuable to our efforts to scale R&D and to deliver on the promise of our innovative product roadmap. We are also very pleased to have Jeff and Yves join our US operation as their skills in sales and systems engineering are timely to our objective to offer world-class support to our growing customer base. Zeev, Jeff and Yves have each already begun to make measurable and meaningful contributions to Imagine, and we’re looking forward to their expertise as we move into this new and exciting stage of growth in 2008.”
