Heartland Oil and Gas Hires Petroleum Engineers
Heartland Oil and Gas has appointed Brian Clancy as its new manager of petroleum engineering and Paul Newsom as senior petroleum geologist.
The company has also retained local petroleum engineers to advise it on the expansion of production from the wells that it is acquiring in Texas and the execution of the well drilling and pipeline extension program that it is undertaking in eastern Kansas.
Mr Newsom has 25 years of diversified exploration and production industry experience in drilling, well completions and production operations. Mr Clancy is a petroleum engineering graduate from Texas A&M University. He has experience working with oilfield service companies and applying various field engineering principles.
Steven Fall, CEO of Heartland, said: “Paul Newsom’s experience in managing field operations will yield immediate results in Kansas where the first five new wells nearly doubled the production we had been generating from 16 wells.
“Brian Clancy’s work on our reserve analysis should enable us to establish accurate estimates and increase production from previously untapped zones particularly the Barnett Shale in Palo Pinto County, Texas, where working with our consulting engineer, we expect to more than double production. We will continue to add technical staff and consultants in order to maximize revenue growth and build shareholder value.”
