Posted on: Tuesday, 27 November 2007, 15:00 CST
Finnair and Aeroflot have announced that they will cooperate on flights between Helsinki and Moscow that will run four times a day, a total of 28 times a week. The development represents a breakthrough in long negotiations to add capacity to flights between the two capital cities.
At present Finnair operates seven weekly flights on its own Airbus A320 aircraft on the route. Aeroflot operates the same number of flights using its own Airbus A319 aircraft. Both airlines operate at Moscow's Sheremetyevo airport.
As a result of code share cooperation, Finnish and Russian business and leisure passengers will be able to fly chosen morning and evening connections between the two cities.
