AirTran Airways to Launch New Flight Services

AirTran Airways is planning to add a new flight service between Newport News/Williamsburg International Airport in Newport News, Virginia and Tampa International Airport in Tampa, Florida, beginning February 2008.
AirTran Airways currently offers daily flights from Newport News/Williamsburg to two vacation spots in Florida, Lauderdale and Orlando. The airline offers one nonstop flight to both Ft Lauderdale and Orlando and five nonstop flights to its hub in Atlanta, Georgia. Newport News and Williamsburg residents can reach 10 destinations in Florida via connections in Atlanta.
Kevin Healy, AirTran Airways vice president for planning, said: "AirTran Airways is pleased to give Hampton Roads residents more convenience and lower fares with this new flight to Tampa, one of our most popular Florida destinations."
