New Service to Puerto Plata and St. Maarten Begins in January Up to 220 Weekly Flights to Tropical Destinations This Season
NEW YORK, Nov. 28, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- JetBlue Airways (Nasdaq:JBLU) is making it easier than ever for travelers to jet off on their dream getaway this winter with more service to the Caribbean's most popular sun spots. For the peak season, the award-winning airline will offer customers as many as 72 flights per day to 11 tropical destinations, a 46% growth in seats over last winter's schedule. JetBlue offers more flights to the Caribbean than any other low-fare, low-cost airline.
In addition to increasing frequencies on existing routes this winter, JetBlue will kick off daily nonstop service from New York to Puerto Plata in the Dominican Republic on January 10, 2008, and to St. Maarten in the Netherlands Antilles on January 17, 2008.
New Florida -- Caribbean Service
JetBlue will begin its first international service from Orlando International Airport this winter with the launch of nonstop service to Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic beginning March 6, 2008 (subject to receipt of government operating authority). With 10 flights a day to Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic, JetBlue offers travelers the most nonstop service to the Caribbean of any airline at Orlando International Airport.
