Central Parking System Awarded Five-Year Contract Extension at Nashville International Airport

Posted on: Wednesday, 28 November 2007, 18:00 CST

Central Parking System, Inc. announced today that it has been awarded a new contract to manage parking operations at Nashville International Airport for an additional five years with two one-year options. Central Parking System has managed the airport's parking operations since 2001.

Under the new contract, Central Parking System will continue to manage approximately 11,500 parking spaces and provide valet parking services. As part of the contract, Nashville-based InShuttle, a disadvantaged business enterprise (DBE) partner, will provide shuttle services for valet staff. InShuttle's involvement represents 13.6 percent of the total contract. The airport, which is operated by the Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority, serves approximately 10 million passengers a year.

"The Authority is pleased to continue our partnership with Central Parking to provide the traveling public with a number of parking options and a high level of customer service," said Raul Regalado, President and CEO of the Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority.

"We are gratified to have earned the confidence of the Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority to continue as the parking operator for another five years," said Emanuel J. Eads, President and Chief Executive Officer. "Since we assumed the airport's parking operations in 2001, we have increased revenues, implemented new technology and improved operating efficiencies while enhancing customer service. We look forward to working with the Authority during the next five years to provide even higher levels of operating efficiencies and customer service.

"This renewal is the latest in a series of new contracts and extensions awarded to Central Parking by major airports around the country. This summer, we announced the award of contracts to manage parking operations at Los Angeles International Airport and San Francisco International Airport. In total, we now operate the on-site parking facilities for 28 airports, making us the leading parking operator for major airports," added Eads.

Central Parking System is the largest provider of parking and related services in North America. The Company and its affiliates operate more than 2,800 parking facilities containing approximately 1.3 million spaces. Central Parking also provides parking-related services, including valet, shuttle bus operation and parking consulting. The Company's clients include some of the nation's largest owners and operators of mixed-use projects, office buildings, hotels, stadiums and arenas as well as airports, hospitals and municipalities. The Company, a wholly owned subsidiary of Central Parking Corporation, is headquartered in Nashville, Tennessee, and has offices in all major metropolitan areas in the U.S. and Canada as well as several other countries.
