Dec. 2–Heavy snow in Kitsap County left a small number of Puget Sound Energy customers without power, the company said Sunday.

As of early afternoon, the company was still working to restore electricity in parts of the county, where heavy snow made tree branches break off and fall into power lines, said spokeswoman Dorothy Bracken.

Weather service forecasters have predicted high winds along the coasts from Sunday night through Monday afternoon. The company has personnel on alert “should the wind go strong,” Bracken said.
