Grant Thornton LLP Purchases Certain Assets of Jenkintown, PA-Based GR Consulting, LLC

Grant Thornton LLP, the U.S. member firm of Grant Thornton International, one of the six global accounting organizations, today announced that it has purchased certain assets of the Jenkintown, PA-based GR Consulting, LLC (GRC). A total of three partners and 50 additional professionals joined Grant Thornton LLP on December 1, 2007.
"GRC has grown rapidly and has emerged as a leader in providing business advisory services to clients throughout the northeastern United States," said Rick Gebert, Managing Partner of Grant Thornton's Philadelphia office. "Their scope of services is almost an exact overlay for our existing Business Advisory Services (BAS), bringing additional talented professionals with particularly deep skills in areas such as governance and risk management, internal audit, operations improvement and information technology to our current strong team. Mike Rose, the leader of the former GRC practice, is well known in our region for his expertise and distinctive service to clients."
