Andover Discovers New Hot Zone and Extends SUN Deposit 300 Meters to North in Third Round of 2007 Drill Results

Andover Ventures Inc. (“Andover” or the “Company”) (TSX VENTURE: AOX)(FRANKFURT: R2X) announces results from four additional drill holes completed during the 2007 exploration program at the Company’s flagship property, SUN, a volcanogenic massive sulfide (VMS) deposit located in the Ambler Mining District in the Brooks Range in Northwestern Alaska. Seventeen of Twenty completed drill holes have been released inclusively from the 2007 exploration season, including those released October 11, 2007 and October 31, 2007 by Andover. The remaining assay results from the three final drill holes will be released when assays are received.

The four drill holes contained herein were drilled on three fences heading Northeast on 150 meter stepouts. Drill hole, SUN 07-15, was 150 meters Northeast from the area considered in the Main SUN resource calculation completed in January 2007. Drill holes, SUN 07-16 and SUN 07-17, were a further 150 meters Northeast of Sun 07-15 (Please see attached drill hole location map). These new drill holes extend the strike by 300 meters and have discovered a new; lower “Hot” zone, ranging from 8.6 meters to 30.0 meters thick. This new lower “Hot” zone is open in both directions. Historically, Bear Creek/Kennecott had a discovery hole PC-1, 750 meters further Northeast along strike, this extension will be tested during the 2008 drill season.

The lower “Hot” zone discovered in drill hole SUN 07-16 had an intercept of 31.40 meters (103 feet) of .9% Copper, 1.5% Zinc, .4% Lead, 15.8 gm/t Silver and .06gm/t Gold. Drill hole, SUN 07-17, intercepted 8.6 meters (28.2 feet) in the lower “Hot” zone grading .8% Copper, 2.6% Zinc, .6% Lead, 33.7gm/t Silver and .363gm/t Gold. Highlights included within SUN 07-15 were 5.35 meters (17.55 feet) intercept grading 4% Copper, 2.5% Zinc, .2% Lead, 27.8 gm/t Silver and .331 gm/t Gold. Highlights from SUN 07-08, include 3.46 meters (11.35 feet) intercept of 1.2% Copper, 10.2% Zinc, 5% Lead, 226 gm/t Silver and .482 gm/t Gold.

Copper, Lead, Zinc, Silver and Gold analysis for the mineralized intercepts received from Alaska Assay Labs in Fairbanks, Alaska are included in the table below.

These holes were drilled at angles to be relatively perpendicular to bedding however the mineralized intervals could be 15 to 30% wider than true thickness.

Core samples were sawed in half, and the core sent to Alaska Assay Labs in Fairbanks, Alaska for a 30 element ICP-AA analysis with gold and silver fire assayed with an AA finish. Base metal overlimits were wet assayed. Check assays are being done at ALS Chemex Labs in Vancouver, B.C. All samples have been submitted to the laboratory and partial results from most of the holes have been received from the lab. Andover is holding release of the partial analyses pending receipt of “over-limit” analyses for Copper, Lead and Zinc. Full results will be released as these over-limit results are received.

Bill Ellis, Project Manager for the Sun Work/Drill program states “with the discovery of the New “Hot” zone coupled with the extension of the main SUN deposit 300 meters to the North, towards the Picnic Creek area and open in both directions, is very encouraging. The extension and newly discovered lower “Hot” zone ranges from 8.6 meters (28.22 feet) to 31.4 meters (103 feet) in thickness. Drill Hole SUN 07-15 was not drilled deep enough to hit this new zone.”
