About the Advanced Technologies for Airport Security Conference
The Advanced Technologies for Airport Security (ATAS) Conference is a two-day, not-for-profit, educational event designed to keep airport personnel up-to-date on airport security technologies. Airport security has changed dramatically in recent years. The new paradigm impacts security management at every airport. The ATAS conference is focused specifically on advanced technologies being successfully deployed for airport security. The ATAS Conference's unique format (e.g., the conference allows no vendor sales pitches) and effective focus (only airport staff; government employees; and architects, engineers and consultants serving airports qualify to attend) was well received by the 2007 attendees (their comments at http://www.airportsecuritytech.org/testimonials.html). Continuing education units (CEU) are available to ATAS attendees. The ATAS Conference is sponsored by leading companies in the airport security field: Cisco, FLIR, Hirsch Electronics, IBM, Intergraph, Proximex, Siemens and Vidient.
