Highland Oil & Gas, LLC Receives $100 Million Equity Commitment

Highland Oil & Gas, LLC ("Highland"), an independent natural gas company headquartered in Ft. Smith, Arkansas, is pleased to announce the company has received up to $100 million in equity commitments from Kayne Anderson Energy Funds ("Kayne Anderson"), management and others. Highland was formed in October 2007 by S. Michael "Mike" Oxley and Elwin A. Hoover. Subsequent to formation, Messrs. Oxley and Hoover were joined by Ken Black and Pam Ibbetson. Mr. Oxley will serve as President and Chief Executive Officer of Highland, Mr. Hoover will serve as Vice President-Arkoma, Mr. Black will serve as Vice President-Anadarko and Ms. Ibbetson will serve as Vice President-Land where they will collectively seek to acquire and develop conventional natural gas resources in the Arkoma and Anadarko basins.
