Astralux Environmental Solutions (AES), a Colorado-based energy efficiency provider, today announced the appointment of Mr. Fred T. Martin as Director of Sales and Marketing for the Company's Power Systems Group. Astralux Power Systems has been providing residential and commercial solar energy systems in Colorado. The announcement was made by Dr. Rande Treece, President and Chief Executive Officer of AES.
Mr. Martin's duties will include the development of Sales and Marketing Programs, recruiting and training of the professional sales team, and assisting in the development of the Astralux Power Systems Dealership Expansion Program, planned for launch in Colorado, California, Arizona, and other states by mid-2008.
"We are expecting rapid growth in our solar programs in 2008," said Dr. Treece. "Legislative mandates, huge utility company incentives and pending new Federal tax credit legislation all mean that right now is the time for homeowners and business owners to be installing solar energy systems. These incentives have brought immediate and explosive growth to the solar industry in Colorado and nationwide. Mr. Martin's programs will help assure that Astralux is positioned as a leader in this industry."
Mr. Martin began his career in solar energy back in the early 1980s, first for Grumman Solar Energy Systems, then Novan Solar of Boulder, and then becoming a Marketing Manager for First American Solar of Denver. By 1985, he owned and managed one of First American's largest and most successful dealerships. Later he became Client Services Director of the Environmental Health Sciences Division of Dames and Moore, a global Environmental Engineering firm with offices in Denver.
