CVR Energy, a refiner and marketer of transportation fuels, has named Dan Daly as the organization's new executive vice president of strategy.
In his expanded role, Mr Daly will be responsible for identifying opportunities and directing programs leading to the company's operational and financial growth. He will continue to be responsible for the oversight of the firm's accounting and controls.
Mr Daly began his career with Shell Oil at its Wood River refinery outside St Louis. At Shell he gained a broad background in refining, working accounting assignments attached to refining, transportation, supply and marketing. He eventually became a senior analyst in manufacturing finance.
Jack Lipinski, CEO, said: "Dan Daly has been instrumental in the success of CVR Energy. He brings to the company an extensive background in refining, but his real value to CVR Energy is his sound judgment and the solid business acumen he contributes to the company every day."
