REpower to Supply Wind Turbines to EDF Energies Nouvelles

Renewable energy firm EDF Energies Nouvelles has signed a new framework agreement with wind turbine supplier REpower, a subsidiary of Suzlon Energy, covering the delivery of 690MW in turbines for its wind farm projects in Europe and the US.
The agreement consists of a firm order of 400MW of which 50% each is slated for Europe and the US plus an option on a further 290MW of which 250MW is for the US and 40MW for Europe.
Germany-based REpower is expected to deliver the wind turbines to EDF Energies Nouvelles between 2009 and 2010.
