Alitalia November Passenger Traffic Up

Italian airline operator, Alitalia, has reported that, in November 2007, its passenger traffic measured in revenue passenger kilometers has increased by 0.7% and the capacity measured in available seat kilometers decreased by 0.7%, compared to the same period in 2006.

Alitalia has carried 1.8 million passengers, up 1.1% compared to the previous year. Domestic passenger traffic increased by 4.4% with offered capacity up 3.9% and load factor was 59%. International passenger traffic has decreased by 1% and offered capacity decreased by 3.6% and load factor was 63.8%. Intercontinental passenger traffic has increased by 0.7% and capacity was in line with November 2006 and load factor was 80%.

Cargo performance has decreased by 5.3% while capacity was down 7.2%. Overall load factor was 72.2% with an increase by 1.4 percentage points. Regarding the all-cargo sector, load factor was 80.3% with an increase by 7.3 percentage points compared with the same period of 2006.
