CNOOC Announces Startup of Jin Zhou Oil and Gas Field
China National Offshore Oil Corporation has announced that Jin Zhou 21-1, an oil and gas field located in the Bohai Bay of north China, has come on stream successfully. The field is expected to produce 3.53 million cubic feet of natural gas per day through one well currently.
JZ 21-1 is equipped with one unmanned wellhead platform, one pipeline and one sub-sea cable. The peak daily production of JZ 21-1 is designed at 11 million cubic feet of natural gas via three wells and 1000 barrels of oil via two wells.
Liu Jian, executive vice president of China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC), said: “By successful commencement of JZ 21-1, the company’s presence in the Bohai Bay, as well as our capability to realize production target in Bohai Bay were further enhanced.”
