BRIEF: Purses Stolen From Prime Outlets

Jan. 3–JAMES CITY — Police are investigating a New Year’s Day break-in at Prime Outlets in which about $2,000 in women’s purses were stolen.
The break-in occurred about 9 p.m. Jan. 1, when someone broke the front window to the Dooney & Bourke store at the outlets, police spokesman Mike Spearman said.
Spearman said multiple purses were stolen, and the thief may have returned later in the night to take more merchandise.
The thefts were discovered the following morning by employees of the store, he said.
The investigation is ongoing.
