Samson Oil & Gas to Begin Trading on AMEX Under the Symbol ‘SSN’ on Monday, January 7, 2008

Samson Oil & Gas Limited announced today that its ADRs will begin trading on the American Stock Exchange under the symbol SSN on Monday, January 7, 2008. Each ADR will represent 20 Samson ordinary shares. The Company’s registration statement on Form 20-F was declared effective by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission on Friday, January 4, 2008.

The Company’s ordinary shares will continue to trade on the Australian Stock Exchange under the symbol SSN.

The American Stock Exchange’s prior approval of the Company’s listing application is contingent upon the Company being in compliance with all applicable listing standards on the date it begins trading on the Exchange, and may be rescinded if the Company is not in compliance with such standards.
