US Airways December Traffic Down

US Airways Group has reported that, its revenue passenger miles for December 2007 were 4.9 billion, compared to 5.1 billion in December 2006, down 4.5%.
The airlines has reported a capacity of 6.5 billion available seat miles, down 4.4% from December 2006. Passenger load factor for the month of December was 75.3%, down 0.2 points versus December 2006.
For the month of December 2007, US Airways' domestic on-time performance was 74.5% with a completion factor of 98.2%. Revenue passenger miles for quarter to date were 14.7 millions compared to 15.3 millions for the same period last year, a decrease of 3.6%
Scott Kirby, president of US Airways, said: "Our December consolidated passenger revenue per available seat mile increased between two and four percent on a year-over-year basis. Once again our employees did a tremendous job during the busy holiday travel season and our operation continues to show significant improvement."
