Dong Energy Announces Oil Discovery in North Sea

Danish oil and gas group Dong Energy has made an oil discovery in an appraisal well in the North Sea, according to Reuters, which cited Norwegian energy officials.
Reuters said that the discovery occurred in License 274 of the Oselvar prospect in the Norwegian North Sea of which Dong is the operator with a 40% interest. Energy firms Noreco and Revus Energy each have a 15% stake in the license. The production test flowed at a rate of 530 cubic meters of oil per day, according to the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate.
