Natural Gas Network Covers 40% of Country

According to Al-Khabar newspaper (January 6, 2008), Mr. Noureddine Bouterfa, CEO of Algeria’s state-owned power company, Sonelgaz, announced that Sonelgaz’s wide natural gas network is currently covering 40% of the country. Sonelgaz aims to raise this rate to 57 % as by 2009 through supplying about 250 new places, which is a revolution, said Mr. Bouterfa.
