Passengers on Air Canada Flight Hurt When Plane Hits Turbulence

CALGARY - Air Canada has confirmed that a flight from Victoria to Toronto believed to have 88 people on board has made an unscheduled landed in Calgary because several passengers were injured.
Air Canada says a number of people on flight AC190 needed to be sent to hospital, although officials could not say how many were hurt.
Paramedics have said they were attending to at least 10 passengers.
Emergency vehicles surrounded the Airbus A319 after it landed at the Calgary International Airport, but Air Canada reported the landing was uneventful.
The airline wasn't saying what caused the injuries, but there were reports the jet hit turbulence.
Bryce Paton of the Calgary Airport Authority says he believes there are no life-threatening injuries.
