Globecomm Systems Awarded Infrastructure Contract Valued at $2.1 Million From a Mobile Telecommunications Operator

Globecomm Systems Inc. (NASDAQ: GCOM), a leading provider of satellite-based communications infrastructure solutions and services on a global basis, today announced that the Company has been awarded an infrastructure contract from a telecommunications operator valued at $2.1 million.
The satellite network, including one hub earth station and fifteen remote sites, will be located throughout the country of Honduras. Once installed, the network will enable the transmission of IP-Based data and voice traffic via remote GSM cellular backhaul for the telecom operator.
