Suzlon Wins Spanish Wind Turbine Order

Suzlon Wind Energy has secured a 42.5MW order to supply turbines to a wind farm owned by Spanish firms Eolia Renovables SRC and Iniciativas Energeticas.
Suzlon stated that the contract calls for the supply of 22 units of its S88 2.1MW wind turbine for the jointly owned wind farm in Jerez, Spain. The facility is expected to come online in 2008.
Suzlon noted that Spain has an installed capacity in renewable energy exceeding 11,000MW and is estimated to witness yearly installations of around 2000MW from 2008 to 2011.
