Busy Month at Baltimore/Washington International Airport

Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport announced that 1,720,998 commercial passengers flew through the airport in November, an increase of 1.9 percent over November 2006. The new figure represents an all-time November record for passenger traffic at BWI Marshall. Officials said November 2007 was the fifth straight record month for BWI passenger traffic. Southwest Airlines led with 886,495 passengers for the month, an increase of 1.1 percent. AirTran Airways reported the largest percentage increase in passengers — 28.6 percent — with a total of 227,541 for the month.
