Rockslide kills 7 in central Vietnam
HANOI, Jan. 12 (Xinhua) — Seven Vietnamese workers from the central Nghe An province were killed Saturday afternoon after rocks at a quarry fell onto them, Vietnam News Agency reported.
The accident happened in Quynh Luu district and it claimed two lives instantly, and injured seriously eight workers. But five of the eight injured died on the way to hospital.
Of the deaths, four women have been confirmed, said the report.
On Jan. 6, three local male workers died in another rockslide in a granite quarry in central Phu Yen province.
