Travolta to Receive Aviation Honor

Hollywood actor John Travolta is to be one of the honorees at the upcoming Living Legends of Aviation award ceremony in Beverly Hills, Calif.
Produced by Airport Journals, the event is to take place Jan. 24 at the Beverly Hilton hotel.
The Grease, Pulp Fiction and Hairspray star was selected to receive the 2007 Ambassador of Aviation Award, organizers of the event said in a statement.
Also confirmed to attend this year's gala are Bob Hoover, Cliff Robertson, Barron Hilton, Morgan Freeman, Buzz Aldrin, Harrison Ford, Steven Hazy, Kurt Russell, Kermit Weeks, Bob Lutz, Patty Wagstaff, Bruce McCaw, Carroll Shelby, Maj. Gen. Bill Anders, Clay Lacy, Joe Clark, Julie Clark, James Raisbeck, Dr. Forrest Bird, George McGovern, Tony Bill, Sean Tucker, Alan Klapmeier and Pat Epps.
Emirates Airlines founder Sheik Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum is also among those to be honored at the event.
