Mitsubishi Heavy Wins Gas Turbine Order From U.S.

Tokyo, Jan. 16 (Jiji Press)–Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Ltd. said Wednesday it has received an order for up to six gas turbines from Georgia Power of the United States.
The turbines will be installed at Georgia Power’s Jack McDonough power plant in Smyrna as a core of three gas-turbine combined cycle power islands with capacity totaling 2,520 megawatts.
The GTCC units are slated to go on-line in stages starting in February 2011.END
