Posted on: Thursday, 17 January 2008, 18:00 CST

Central Parking System announced today that its USA Parking System affiliate has been awarded a five-year contract extension to manage parking operations at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport. USA Parking will continue to manage approximately 17,000 parking spaces and provide valet parking services for airport patrons.

Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport is one of the fastest-growing airports in the U.S. In 2006, the airport served more than 21 million passengers and was ranked 23rd in the U.S. and 56th worldwide based on the number of passengers. The airport is managed by Broward County.

"We are very pleased that Broward County has decided to extend our contract to manage parking operations for the airport for an additional five years," said William H. Bodenhamer, Jr., President of USA Parking System. "USA Parking has managed parking operations for the airport since 1996. During this time, parking revenues have increased from $13 million to $57 million as we have expanded valet services, implemented new technology and enhanced customer service. We look forward to working with the county and airport management to provide even higher levels of operating performance and customer service during the next five years."

"The renewal of this very important contract further solidifies our position as the leading parking operator for major airports," said Emanuel J. Eads, President and Chief Executive Officer of Central Parking System. "Our track record in successfully managing the complex parking operations of major airports is unparalleled in the industry. Our continued success in this market segment is amply demonstrated by several recent contract awards and renewals, including contracts to manage parking operations for airports in Los Angeles, San Francisco and Nashville."

Central Parking System is the largest provider of parking and related services in North America. The Company and its affiliates operate more than 2,800 parking facilities containing approximately 1.3 million spaces. Central Parking also provides parking-related services, including valet, shuttle bus operation and parking consulting. The Company's clients include some of the nation's largest owners and operators of mixed-use projects, office buildings, hotels, stadiums and arenas as well as airports, hospitals and municipalities. The Company, a wholly owned subsidiary of Central Parking Corporation, is headquartered in Nashville, Tennessee, and has offices in all major metropolitan areas in the U.S. and Canada as well as several other countries.
