Mark E. DuPont to Lead American Airlines Airport Services Planning

FORT WORTH, Texas, Jan. 18 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Mark E. DuPont has been named Vice President - Airport Services Planning at American Airlines and will be responsible for business planning, automation, service policies, and support for all of American's airport operations worldwide. He replaces Marilyn DeVoe, who recently was appointed Vice President of American's DFW Airport Operations.

For the past three years, DuPont was the general manager of American's airport operations at JFK International Airport in New York. He will be located at American's headquarters in Fort Worth.
"Mark brings nearly 25 years of airport operations and airline experience to his new position," said Tom Del Valle, American Airlines Senior Vice President - Airport Services. "He will provide great leadership and insight into how we serve our customers now and in the future."
Prior to his JFK stint, DuPont was the managing director for regional airport operations at American's headquarters. Since joining the company in 1983, he has gained experience in the company's ramp services, cargo services, and budgets and cost control groups.
DuPont has a Bachelor's of Science degree in Accounting from the University of Dayton. He is married and has 2 children.
