Ukraine Meets Its Energy Transit Commitment – Yushchenko
KYIV. Jan 24 (Interfax) – Ukrainian President Viktor Yushchenko said at a forum in Davos that Kyiv is aware of its responsibility for energy security in Europe and complies with its obligation to provide an energy transit route.
Speaking at the forum on policy in pipeline transport, Yushchenko said that one of the strategic goals of the Ukrainian energy transportation policy is to upgrade and develop the existing gas transport network, the presidential press service said.
The event was held in the form of an interactive discussion. It was attended by the President of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development Jean Lemiere, the Director of the Program on Energy and Sustainable Development David Victor of Stanford University and business representatives.
