Southern Skyways, a scheduled public charter operated by Primaris Airlines, has announced that a seasonal non-stop jet service between Akron-Canton Airport and Myrtle Beach, South Carolina will begin on May 22, 2008.
Southern Skyways will initially offer service on Thursdays and Sundays with fares ranging from $79 to $129 each way, depending upon availability at the time seats are booked.
Cary Evans, executive vice president of Southern Skyways, said: "We believe that the Akron-Canton area is a primary market for Myrtle Beach, especially during the summertime for family vacations. Our research has found that Myrtle Beach vacationers currently either drive to another airport for non-stop service or just drive to Myrtle Beach by automobile."
