Virgin Blue to Start New Flights Between Canberra and Gold Coast

Australian airline Virgin Blue has announced that it will use one of its brand new Embraer E-jets to launch direct flights between Canberra and Gold Coast.
The airline will begin daily services between the two destinations from March 4, 2008 operating the sleek Embraer jet aircraft. The aircraft has 78 seats and is ideally suited to the route.
Brett Godfrey, CEO, said: “The delivery of new E-Jet’s means a host of new opportunities for destinations like Canberra and the Gold Coast as the aircraft is the perfect size for this market. It’s a fantastic jet and we’re very pleased to be offering new direct flight options for people traveling from both the Gold Coast and Canberra.”
