Energy analyst Douglas-Westwood’s annual Global Offshore Prospects presentation to the Society for Underwater Technology (SUT) in Houston and London will for the first time this year also be hosted by SUT Aberdeen.

Speakers from Douglas-Westwood will be joined by Aberdeen University’s Professor Alex Kemp to give his perspective on the North Sea at the event, which will be held at the Britannia Hotel, Bucksburn, Aberdeen, from 11.30am on Wednesday.

Prof Kemp’s presentation will project future activity on the UK continental shelf to 2035, looking at production, new developments, and investment.

John Westwood will examine issues underlying the global industry such as soaring oil and gas demand, the outlook for oil and gas prices, and the likely future impact of resource and people shortages.

Andrew Reid, of Douglas-Westwood’s Aberdeen office, will focus on the offshore industry worldwide, presenting the firm’s forecasts for markets including floating production, deepwater and subsea, and offshore capital and operating expenditure.

Douglas-Westwood specialises in analysis of markets for the oil and gas and renewable energy industries worldwide. In the past four years the firm has advised on transactions totalling pounds3.75billion.
