Police Find Four Anti-Tank Mines in Kazakh School

Astana, 29 January: Four anti-tank drill mines – TM-57 DH, TM-62 M, TM-62 P and TM-62 P (inert) – have been found in one of the secondary schools in [the southern town of] Almaty, the city’s rescue service said on Tuesday [29 January].
A source at the Ministry of Emergency Situations [MES] said that the mines had been found in the warehouse of the school’s custodian by police officers during a scheduled inspection of explosive materials last Monday.
“The military police seized the items for further disposal”, the MES representative said.
