Vodafone Ups Game

Vodafone has broken into the top half of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) mobile phone affordability rankings for 2007′s last quarter.

The survey took the two largest mobile companies in each of 30 countries and compared their bundles of voice and text prices. Vodafone moved up from 16th to 14th place in the high-priced category from the previous quarter and from 14th to 12th in the low- priced group. In the medium- priced category, it lost ground, moving from 12th to 13th.

Vodafone NZ chief executive Russell Stanners said the firm had pledged to reach the top half of the OECD table by 2010.
