New York Gets New Airport
January 31, 2008
A Former US Air Force base 60 miles from New York is being converted into an international hub to help ease congestion at the city’s three main airports – Kennedy, Newark Liberty and LaGuardia.
The plans will transform Stewart International Airport, where the terminal used to be a parachute packing plant and one road is lined with abandoned barracks.
