Crude Oil Closes at $89 Per Barrel

Crude oil prices fluctuated in trading Friday, settling at $89.13 per barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange.

Crude oil prices started close to $92, then fell, before recovering 0.17 cents late Friday.

Heating oil prices were up 0.5 cents on the exchange, at $2.4539 per gallon.

Reformulated gasoline dropped 0.56 cents to $2.289 per gallon.

Natural gas prices dropped to $7.735 per million British thermal units, down 0.5 cents.

At the pump, the national average price for a gallon of unleaded gasoline was $2.988, up from Thursday’s average of $2.986 per gallon, the AAA Fuel Gauge Report said.
