Arla Foods Shuts Down Store in Brown County – Report
February 5, 2008
Due to declining sales and the production of narrower product lines, Arla Foods has shut down its retail cheese store in Brown County, reported Wrightstown Post-Gazette.
This plant, which Arla brought two years ago from the former White Clover Dairy, chiefly produces havarti, Gouda and Edam. However, White Clover produced a more diverse variety of cheeses.
Freddy Jessen, plant manager for Arla, said that from March 2008, the company would begin renovation and expansion of this facility. Over the next three years, Arla plans to improve and develop the facility.
