Pharma-Biotech Sector Anticipates Healthy $3.6 Billion Capital/MRO Projects to Begin Construction in 1Q08, an Industrial Info News Alert

Reported by Annette Kreuger, Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas) -- The Pharmaceutical & Biotech Industry is expecting 95 capital and MRO (maintenance) projects with a total investment value (TIV) of $3.6 billion to begin construction during the first quarter of 2008. This project activity, which was drawn from a recent analysis of current reported projects in Industrial Info's Pharmaceutical Tracker, demonstrates a huge increase of almost $1 billion in TIV, or 38%, over the first quarter of 2007. The average TIV of each project has dropped slightly to $38 million for 2008, down from the 2007 average of $44 million.
